Linda Jereb

Linda has been designing and selling Sea Glass Jewelry from her home on the Outer Banks of North Carolina since 1990.  She has dedicated major portions her web site to educating visitors about sea glass and collecting.

Linda launched By The Sea Jewelry and in 1989 coined and trademarked the term “Genuine Sea Glass”.  By The Sea Jewelry continues to enjoy substantial growth both in wholesale and retail sales.

Her web site is one of the longest existing sites dedicated to sea glass lovers.  She has been featured in many articles, national television (The Later Today Show on NBC), and on several local television programs.  She features some of the rarest natural sea glass collected from around the world.

Linda discovered sea glass after moving to the Outer Banks of North Carolina (the OBX) and has been collecting these lovely frosted gems ever since.  She has amassed a collection of over a thousand pounds of sea glass from both the OBX and from around the world but says she still gets a special thrill when finding a unique and rare piece.

Her participation on the board of the North American Sea Glass Association (NASGA) was motivated by the large number of sellers representing fake sea glass as real and she is dedicated to educating the public about the difference between the two.
