2024 Festival Speakers

The International Sea Glass Association (ISGA) is pleased to announce our speaker lineup for our 2024 festivals. We have invited sea and beach glass experts to share their fascinating talks at the International Sea Glass Festivals in Mystic on July 27–28th and in Seattle on August 10–11th.

Richard LaMotte is the author of Pure Sea Glass and is one of the founders of ISGA. Richard will share historical and entertaining stories about the past 20 years of sea glass festivals, along with unique inspirations from his award-winning book.

Mary Beth Beuke has spent a lifetime along the shore and will share exciting stories, extreme beachcombing tales, and will identify everything from beads to stoppers to patterned pieces. She will share beachcombing tips, best practices, and more from her best-selling book The Ultimate Guide to Sea Glass

Alan Rammer began collecting floats over 50 years ago, has co-authored two price guides for glass floats, and is an accomplished educator and speaker. His collection contains a huge variety of floats. Join us for a talk about this history of glass floats that spans almost 200 years and many continents.

Roxie Zwicker will share stories about connecting with 400 years of history through the sea glass and pottery she finds on New England beaches. Roxie will share some of her favorite locations to beachcomb, get you excited to plan your next sea glass adventure, and give you sneak peeks from her new book, New England Sea Glass, A Vibrant History.

Don’t miss the chance to see these speakers live, learn more about their experiences, and ask them questions or get help identifying your finds after their talks.
