The International Sea Glass Association is pleased to announce that the 20th Annual International Sea Glass Festival will be held on July 26-27, 2025, at Mystic Seaport Museum in Historic Mystic, Connecticut.
The International Sea Glass Festival is the premier sea and beach glass event in the country, celebrating the history and beauty of genuine sea and beach glass. With talented artists and jewelers, knowledgeable speakers, the Sea Glass Contest, and an opportunity to connect with fellow sea glass enthusiasts, the annual Sea Glass Festival is always an unforgettable weekend.

2025 International Sea Glass Festival Poster Contest
The International Sea Glass Association (ISGA) invites you to submit your photo to be showcased on the 2025 International Sea Glass Festival poster.
You can enter photos of sea or beach glass, sea pottery, historical finds, toys, bottles, collections, and more found along oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water. Enter your photos for consideration by February 17, 2025.
We will announce finalists from all eligible photos and online voters will pick the photo for this year’s poster.
If your photo is selected, you get a cash prize of $100, an ISGA prize package, tickets to the 2025 International Sea Glass Festival, and 10 free posters. Finalists each get 10 posters.
Submitted entries must include authentic, unaltered sea or beach glass and be photographed/found at the location named in your entry form.
You or someone in your immediate family must have found the item(s) in your photo. No purchased items allowed.
No AI-generated, edited, resized, or retouched/altered images are allowed.
Finalists will be selected from the images submitted based on the uniqueness and beauty of the find, overall artistic presentation, and quality of the photo file.
We would like to use photos that have not been shared online so please don’t post your photo online before February 28, 2025.
Photo Tips
Your photos should be original, unretouched, high-resolution photos including real sea or beach glass, either as found on the beach, or in a studio setup.
Please use the highest-quality and largest file setting when taking your photos. Phone camera photos can work if your phone is set at the very highest settings.
Because photos are printed at high resolution at very large size, the ideal image size is 6,000 x 4,000 pixels or larger.
Open to contestants worldwide. The contestant does not have to be a member of the International Sea Glass Association. Voids where prohibited by law.
The International Sea Glass Association (ISGA) is pleased to announce our speaker lineup for our 2024 festivals. We have invited sea and beach glass experts to share their fascinating talks at the International Sea Glass Festivals in Mystic on July 27–28th and in Seattle on August 10–11th.
Richard LaMotte is the author of Pure Sea Glass and is one of the founders of ISGA. Richard will share historical and entertaining stories about the past 20 years of sea glass festivals, along with unique inspirations from his award-winning book.
Mary Beth Beuke has spent a lifetime along the shore and will share exciting stories, extreme beachcombing tales, and will identify everything from beads to stoppers to patterned pieces. She will share beachcombing tips, best practices, and more from her best-selling book The Ultimate Guide to Sea Glass.
Alan Rammer began collecting floats over 50 years ago, has co-authored two price guides for glass floats, and is an accomplished educator and speaker. His collection contains a huge variety of floats. Join us for a talk about this history of glass floats that spans almost 200 years and many continents.
Roxie Zwicker will share stories about connecting with 400 years of history through the sea glass and pottery she finds on New England beaches. Roxie will share some of her favorite locations to beachcomb, get you excited to plan your next sea glass adventure, and give you sneak peeks from her new book, New England Sea Glass, A Vibrant History.

The International Sea Glass Association Board is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a second Sea Glass Festival in 2024! We invite you to join us at Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion in Seattle, Washington, on August 10–11, 2024. This festival is in addition to the festival in Mystic, Connecticut, on July 27–28, 2024.
We plan on bringing all the excitement of an ISGA festival to a new location, with talented vendors, expert speakers, veteran collectors, and the Sea Glass Contest. Seattle is the perfect location for a sea glass festival — a beautiful city with a lively arts scene, nearby beaches, and access to all the Pacific Northwest has to offer within a few hours.
